2008-2009 SEASON IS HERE!

Dust off the old cross bike, it is that time of year again.

CANNONDALE! Yes, Cannondale is our new sponsor for 2008. We will once again be raffling off a frame and fork to some lucky racer at the season finale in Holland. Each time you attend a race your name goes into the raffle box, so your chances improve the more you race!

This year we thought we would mix it up a bit for the Founders Kickoff Ride. We will be starting from the Long Lake Outdoor Center which is near the Yankee Springs Deep Lake Trail Head/Gun Lake area. The Kickoff Ride is a large group ride incorporating as many gravel roads as possible. We will have 3 options to choose from, approximately 15, 30 or 50 miles. Barry county roads are hilly! Prepare to have a great ride. The cost is $15 and includes a keg of Founders Ale for the after party. Everyone is encouraged to bring a small grill, some food for yourself and something to share. Let's kickoff the season right! The ride happens rain or shine and we have use of the lodge if it is raining.

For the regular race season this year we will also introduce a Master's B-Class (40 and above) that will run at noon along with the B-Class. The Masters will start 2 minutes behind the B-Class and have their own separate spindle for scoring. Same number of laps as the B race.

Please visit and support our 2008 series sponsors listed to the left of this blog. These fine retailers understand the lifestyle of a cyclist and feel they have something to offer us. I couldn't agree more! If you know of a business that would be a good fit for Kisscross banner ads, let me know.

Cipo says Ubeer Cross is happening, in reverse, more later.

Check out the photo link. You can now order your favorite race pictures online at www.kisscross.smugmug.com and if you sign up for your own personal account, enter amtnbiker@chartermi.net in the discount code area and receive a $5.00 savings!

Don't forget, if you raced B's and finished in the top five, you gotta move up to the A race! WE WILL NOW ENFORCE THIS. Look at it this way...if you are a cat 4 or higher roadie, expert/elite mountain biker you belong in the A race. If you are a Cat 5 roadie or sport mountain biker you belong in the B race. If you are a beginner or citizen road racer, try the new C race.

NO PRE-REGISTRATION, ALL RACES ARE DAY OF REGISTRATION ONLY
