Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery right? The Kenda Spiral of Death and the Cross Crusade Stadium Run-up may have been done before but I bet no one expected it from a cross promoter in the Midwest. Well think no more. Thanks to the Macatawa Cycling Club and their friends at Velo City Cycles and Hup United this one is in the books. A special thanks to John the grounds keeper, yep, you read that right, the stadium grounds keeper was on site for course set up, race day festivities and the tedious job of course repair, and he loves it! Gotta love a venue like this!
The New Holland after party, beers and chili hit the spot and it looks like racers took full advantage of the deals at Velo City too. A great day for cross in Michigan. Thanks for the grub Macatawa Cycling Club!

my first cross race–whew! dumped it once on the first lap and chewed mud on the other three laps–what a riot! lost my tag somewhere on the course–but,hey, I’ll be back again next year, hopefully for more races. kudos and cheers!

Hey, what a fun race! It was my first CX race. My first TWO races, that is. I had so much fun in the C that I did the B.
I had thought that this mix of bikes, a park, beer and a trombone would be good–and it was!

What a fun race. Thanks for putting on a great series! However, after yesterday’s race I might still be cleaning mud off my body when 2010’s season opener arrives!
Anybody else have photos? Seems like there were lots of people shooting but can’t find too many C photos out there. fun race!
